Fort De Douaumont
The most heavily armed of all the forts in Meuse and with the strongest defence system. You can tour three levels of galleries, pillboxes, observation platforms and gun turrets (including machine guns and 75mm and 155mm field guns), the command post, barrack rooms, ruined chapel and the graveyard.

Fort De Douaumont gives a chilling insight into the layout and life inside a fort and the Sere de Rivieres system of defence.

Opening Times:
February to March, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
April to August, 10am to 6.30pm
November and December, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
